Volunteer and make a difference!
There are hundreds of different volunteer roles on offer, from management positions, running activities to behind the scenes roles like driving the minibus or painting and decorating.
Our Scout group is wholly run by volunteers, from our Chairman and Group Scout Leader down to our Cleaner. We are always on the lookout for extra help. If you love spending time with children then we know we can find space for you to fit in with our Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs or Scouts. You don’t need any special skills but if have a special skill then we would love to talk to you about how we can fit you into our lively team who are passionate about giving our children the best possible experience.
A Range of Volunteer Roles
If the idea of entertaining a room full of children fills you with dread then our adult support team would love to speak with you. We call them our “Executive Committee” and they help us with our Scout Hut maintenance, Fundraising and special activities.
Being a volunteer does not require knowledge of the Scout Association. You don’t have to have been a Scout or Guide or a parent. You just need to be willing to invest your time and experience into making sure that our next generation has the life skills that they need to be a good citizens.
Fundraising Coordinator
helping us to come up with new ways of fundraising, applying for grants etc
Quartermaster
help make sure our outdoor and camping equipment is ready for our next adventure
Event and Activity Coordinator
helping to arrange out group activities and fun days
Media, Communications and Web Site Coordinator
engage with the community and keep parents updated
Group Active Support
our team of adults who may be can’t commit to helping regularly but have a special skill and a willingness to share it with us once or twice a year.
